How do I Join the Video Consultation (AVC)?

Rocket RX video consultations allow you to speak with a licensed prescriber through a secure video call when your treatment requires a live consultation. Depending on your state and eligibility, you may be able to book a scheduled consultation or join the Rocket RX Waiting Room for a same-day consultation.

Use this article when you need to:

  • Join a Rocket RX video consultation

  • Book a Rocket RX clinician call

  • Access the Rocket RX Waiting Room

  • Troubleshoot camera, microphone, or connection issues during your consultation


Step 1: Log in to your Rocket RX account

To access your Rocket RX video consultation:

  1. Log in to your Rocket RX account

  2. Once logged in, click Account in the top-right corner of the page

  3. This will open your Rocket RX Account Dashboard

Use the image below to locate the Log In button and access your Rocket RX account dashboard.

Step 2: Choose how you want to connect with a Rocket RX clinician

From your Rocket RX account dashboard, you may see more than one consultation option.

Option 1: Book a scheduled video consultation

Select Book a Call if you want to schedule your Rocket RX video consultation for a time that works for you.

Option 2: Check for Waiting Room availability

If you want to see a clinician sooner, you can check whether the Rocket RX Waiting Room is available in your state:

  1. Open Order History

  2. Look for the Waiting Room option

  3. If available, you can join a same-day consultation with a licensed prescriber

Step 3: Select Manage My AV Call

If your Rocket RX order requires a video consultation:

  1. Open Order History

  2. Find the relevant Rocket RX order

  3. Click Manage My AV Call

AV Call stands for audio/video consultation. Selecting Manage My AV Call will take you to your consultation options.

Use the image below to locate the Manage My AV Call button.

Step 4: Join the Rocket RX Waiting Room (if available)

If the Rocket RX Waiting Room is open, you will see the option to Join the Waiting Room.

Before joining your Rocket RX video consultation:

  1. Make sure you are using a device with a working camera and microphone

    • You can use a laptop, smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer

  2. Select Join the Waiting Room

  3. Complete the audio and video device check

    • Rocket RX will ask you to test your camera and microphone before joining

  4. Once your device check is complete, you will enter the queue to speak with the next available licensed prescriber through a secure video consultation

If you cannot join right away, you may also see the option to Reschedule your consultation.

Video consultation troubleshooting

Camera or microphone not working?

If your Rocket RX camera or microphone is not working:

  1. Check that your browser has permission to access your camera and microphone

    • Open your device Settings > Privacy > Camera & Microphone

  2. Refresh your browser and try again

  3. Restart your device if the issue continues

  4. If possible, try another device


Unable to join your Rocket RX video consultation?

If you cannot connect to your Rocket RX consultation:

  1. Make sure you have a strong internet connection

  2. Use a supported browser such as:

    • Google Chrome

    • Safari

  3. Close other apps or browser tabs that may be using your camera or microphone
